“Let all that you do be done in love.”

Headteacher's Message

“Let all that you do be done in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:14)

Our school vision shows that care and nurture are at the heart of everything we do.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:14)

In doing this we aim to enable each child to flourish by celebrating their individual strengths child so that their greatness is not overlooked and creating  a sense of dignity, respect and love for themselves, which they can then recognise and celebrate in others within the community and the world.

INSPIRING * BELIEVING * ACHIEVING

Our school motto demonstrates the importance of kindness and friendship alongside the power of primary education and how it can shape and determine ones future by creating a love for learning and the ability to reach your dreams.

Welcome to our thriving village school

I am very pleased to welcome you to our school and to our website. I have been the Headteacher at Lympstone since September 2013. Previously to this, I have worked in both large and small schools and as a PE consultant for Devon. I am passionate about helping children to make a difference to themselves and others and continue to be very honoured to lead this wonderful school.

Our school is a village primary school with a strong Christian ethos which strives for compassion, success and happiness for all who belong to the school community. We celebrate achievements at all levels delivering a broad curriculum which is both stimulating, creative and challenging.  We aim to prepare our children for the future by teaching them to be understanding of others, to have resilience and perseverance to take on a challenge and to be proud of who they are and their achievements. We ensure that they develop independence and confidence and an understanding of our core Christian school values. We model this through our everyday actions in all that we do.

Through positive communication our whole school community has a voice.

My door is always open and I am here to help you and your children have the best education and the happiest, most stimulating formative years that they can.  Working with you in partnership will ensure we provide the best for all our children.

Our school Facebook page has been designed to give you an insight in daily life at Lympstone and answer many questions you may have about the school. The whole school community looks forward to welcoming you whether you are joining us at the beginning of the year or part way through. Our caring and dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff will facilitate a smooth transition into every-day life at our school, eliminating any anxieties that you or your child may have about joining us.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me, visitors are warmly welcomed – please make an appointment if you would like to come and see us in action!

I very much look forward to meeting you.
