British Values

Each class aims to develop children’s understanding of The British Values, not just in words but in actions too. This is age appropriate depending on the class.

Our School Council have been instrumental in ensuring that British Values are embedded within the school. The delivery of PSHE and RE curriculums has helped to highlight the importance of the five values in everyday life. Older children are taught to discuss and debate the values and how they may differ for individuals and in specific situations.

You will see The British Values displayed in classrooms and around the school, just like our school values, children are congratulated on using them in everyday school life.

Our Ofsted 2018 inspection report highlighted:

"School life and timetabled subjected contribute well to promote pupils' spiritual,, moral, social and cultural development and understanding of British Values.  These values permeate everything that the school does and provide pupils with the opportunity to develop into kind and considerate citizens, well prepared for 21st century Britain."
